Returns & Refund Policy

Many MODERNA LIVING products are handmade or made-to-order based on customer-selected specifications, including size, fabric, colour, or storage configuration.

Under UK consumer law, custom-made or personalised items are generally exempt from standard cancellation and change-of-mind return rights once production has begun.

If your order is bespoke or made-to-order, returns or cancellations may not be accepted unless the item is faulty, damaged, or not as described.

 

1. 30-Day Returns Period

If you wish to request a return for a non-faulty item, you must contact us within 30 days of delivery.

To request a return, please contact us before returning any items.

Eligible non-bespoke items may be returned within 30 days of delivery.

 

2. Return Conditions

To be eligible for a return, items should be:

Returned in a clean and resaleable condition
Free from damage, stains, misuse, or excessive wear
Returned with all original parts and components where possible

As many of our products are delivered flat-packed and securely wrapped for transport, we ask customers to re-wrap returned items appropriately to help prevent transit damage.

We recommend inspecting all parts, dimensions, colours, and fabric finishes before assembly.

Assembled items may not qualify for a full refund if the product shows signs of use, damage, or cannot be returned in resaleable condition.

 

3. Refunds & Return Charges

Standard Returns

If an item is returned unused and in resaleable condition, you will receive a refund for the purchase price.

Opened or Handled Items

If protective wrapping has been removed or the item has been handled beyond reasonable inspection, a deduction of up to £60 may apply to cover collection, handling, inspection, and reprocessing costs where appropriate.

Any applicable deductions will be confirmed following inspection of the returned item.

Bespoke & Custom-Made Items

Items manufactured to custom specifications, including bespoke sizes or custom fabric selections, are non-returnable unless they are faulty or damaged upon arrival.

 

4. How to Request a Return

Our team will provide return instructions once your request has been reviewed.

For non-faulty returns, a collection and handling fee of up to £60 may apply.

Returns for items confirmed as faulty, damaged, or incorrect upon arrival will be arranged at no additional cost to the customer.

 

5. Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order upon delivery.

If your item arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery and provide clear photographs where possible.

Once reviewed, we will arrange an appropriate resolution, which may include replacement parts, a replacement item, repair, or a full refund where applicable.

 

6. Refund Processing

Once your return has been received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the outcome of your refund request.

Approved refunds are normally processed within 5 working days to the original payment method.

Please note that bank processing times may vary and refunds can take additional time to appear in your account.

 

7. Warranty Information

Selected MODERNA LIVING products include a 5-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Full warranty terms and exclusions are available separately.

This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory consumer rights.
